Sonoran Estates consists of 94 homes built in 2 different phases located on the south side of the McDowell Mountain Ranch community. Sonoran Estates is a gated community featuring some of the largest lots within McDowell Mountain Ranch with the largest at almost 3 full acres.

The Sonoran Estates homes were constructed by J.F. Shea construction began in 2000. The 6 different floor planes in Sonoran Estates are the Paloma, Sabino, Carino, Santana, Topanga, and the Saguaro. They range in size from 3107 to 4019 square feet. These homes were offered with numerous upgrades and several different elevations that helped to create a natural variety in the Sonoran Estates.

McDowell Mountain Ranch Fitness Center

The McDowell Mountain Ranch Fitness Center is located at 15525 N. Thompson Peak Pkwy Scottsdale, AZ 85260

The McDowell Mountain Ranch fitness center has machine weights, dumbbells, and cardiovascular machines. A variety of fitness, aerobic and leisure education classes as well as nutritional and wellness classes are also offered. The fitness center age restrictions are:

13 and under: Not Allowed
14-17: Allowed with a signed waiver by a parent or guardian
18 and up: Adult fee applies

Probably one of the best ways to use the McDowell Mountain Ranch Fitness Center is to purchase a family pass through the city of Scottsdale's website this allows families of all sizes unlimited public swim and fitness center visits from Memorial Day through Labor Day. A Family pass at McDowell Mountain Ranch for a family of 4 costs $140 or $20 for each additional family member. The McDowell Mountain Ranch Family Pass is good for all Aquatic Centers. Family passes can be purchased by Scottsdale residents and include unlimited public swim, lap swim and fitness center visits. All aquatic classes require an additional registration fee.

During the Months of March - October: The McDowell Mountain Ranch Fitness Center admission fee is required for all visitors. Fees for the pool and fitness center are per visit and are on a drop-in basis. Membership is not required. However, they only accept cash or checks when paying for a drop-in fee... sorry no debit or credit cards.

During the Months of November-February: The McDowell Mountain Ranch Fitness Center facilities utilities evidently during these months jump significantly compared to other times of the year. As such, the recreation center is starting a pilot program to cover the costs of the increased utilities and services that the guests are needing. According to the site, their facility costs are double of what the are during the rest of the year. So in order to keep the doors open, they have increased the rate for Lap Swimming and Fitness Center usage.

On the off chance that you can't find what you're searching for in this library, an employee will be happy to aid in attempting to get the book from a different library in to the Scottsdale network for you.

The Arabian Library is an eco-friendly building that is designed to merit a LEED Gold rating with the US Green Building Council. It was built from re-cycled materials, has only low-emitting sealants and adhesives. It uses less than half the water of a similar sized building and there are numerous low windows that provide natural light and reduces the need for electricity.

This library is a state-of-the-art facility located in the heart of McDowell Mountain Ranch. This “green” building is in the serene desert with relaxing views, the perfect setting for quietly reading a good book.

The McDowell Mountain Range) is located about twenty miles northeast of Phoenix, Arizona, and may be seen from most places throughout the Phoenix Metro Area. Throughout the mountains you are likely to see Deer, Javelina, birds, Coyotes, Gila Monsters and be on the lookout for rattlesnakes.
